Replacing a standard lead-acid battery with a lithium-ion battery saves up to 5 kg in weight. A very simple and at the same very effective way to save weight.
Lithium-ion batteries are much more efficient than standard lead-acid batteries. Almost 100% of the capacity is used, while lead acid batteries can only use 30% of their capacity due to their specific properties.
The connections, plus and minus poles are identical to those of conventional standard lead-acid batteries.
Up to -5 ° C the manufacturer guarantees sufficient capacity for the starting process.
Please note that only suitable chargers may be used to charge the lithium-ion battery. It is also important to pay attention to the maximum charging current. The max. Charging currents can be found in the technical data given in the table below.
Under no circumstances may chargers be used for desulphating with a voltage above 14.9 volts. There is a danger of explosion!
In the production of JMT lithium-ion batteries, iron phosphate (LiFePO4) is used as the cathode material and the lithium-polymer process is used.
Through this manufacturing process, the lithium-ion battery can neither explode in normal operation nor go up in flames
The battery case is waterproof and can be filled with adapters to fill the battery box with a smaller standard lead-acid battery.
